Introduction to Content Island Templates
In Content Island, you can start a project from scratch — or use one of our predefined templates, designed to save time and provide a solid foundation right from the start.
These templates include:
Connected code solution
A ready-to-download code solution automatically connected to your Content Island project.
This way, you have everything ready to start customizing your content and deploying your project to production.
Creating a project from a template
To create a project from a template:
- Click New Project.
- Open the Template tab.
- Choose the template you want to use.
- Click Create Project.
Available templates
The Templates feature is a recent addition, and the following options are currently available:
🌟 Starlight Template
The Starlight template integrates with Astro Starlight, a documentation engine built for creating modern, fast, and easy-to-maintain documentation sites.
Ready-to-use structure
Includes folders such as docs/, pages/, and content/, with sample documentation already connected to your Content Island project.
Starlight components
Uses components like <Aside>, <Card>, <Tabs>, and <Code> to enhance the visual and technical experience of your documentation.
CMS integration
Content syncs seamlessly with your Content Island space, allowing you to update text and metadata directly from the dashboard.
