If you are using Content Island, whether on the free plan or on pro plans and above, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to improve the security of your account. Here’s how to do it:

Setting Up 2FA

  1. Go to the Content Island portal and log in to your account (you can also create a free account if you don’t have one yet).

  2. Click on the menu, then go to Security. In the two-factor authentication section, click on “Setup”.

  3. A QR code will be generated. Scan it from your phone using an authenticator app. There are many free options available, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, among others. You can also copy the code manually if you prefer.

  4. Click Continue, and you will need to download your recovery codes. It is important to store them in a safe place, as you will need them to regain access to your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.

  5. Once you have downloaded them, click “I have saved the codes”, and Content Island will ask you to enter the authentication code generated by your authenticator app to verify that everything is set up correctly.

Logging In with 2FA

Once everything is configured, you can log out and when you log back in, after entering your email and password, you will be asked to enter the authentication code generated by your authenticator app to access your account.

This also applies if you log in with your Google account, since two-factor authentication applies to the entire account, regardless of the login method you use.
